The Network Connections Wizard:

  1. Click on Start, Settings, and select Network and Dial-Up Connections.

  1. Double click on the icon.

  2. The Network Connection Wizard will begin. Select the option Dial-up to the Internet and click Next to continue.

  1. The Internet Connection Wizard will begin. Select the option I want to set up my Internet connection manually and click Next to continue.

  1. It will ask how you connect to the Internet. Select the option I connect using a phone line and a modem. Click Next to continue.

  1. Step 1: Enter the TOAST.net telephone number. Click Next to continue.

  1. Step 2: Enter your TOAST.net username and password. Click Next to continue.

 

  1. Step 3: Enter the connection name as TOAST.net. Click Next to continue.

  1. The Internet Connection Wizard will ask if you would like to set up an Internet Mail Account. Select the option Create a new Internet mail account and click Next to continue.

  1. Enter what you would like for a display name (this is what people see when you send them a message). Click Next to continue.

  1. Enter your TOAST.net email address. Click Next to continue.

  1. It will ask for the e-mail server names. Enter the following information:

  • Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP, or HTTP) server -- pop3.toast.net

  • Outgoing mail (SMTP) server -- smtp.toast.net

  1. Click Next to continue.

  1. Enter your TOAST.net account name and password (Note: The TOAST.net account name does not include the login prefix or suffix). Click Next to continue.

  1. Click Finish to connect to the Internet.

  1. Double click on the Outlook Express icon on the desktop or click on the Mail button in Internet Explorer and select Read Mail.

  2. Click on Tools and select Accounts.

  3. Select the Mail tab, click on the pop3.toast.net account, and click Properties.

  4. Click on the Servers tab and check the box that states My Server Requires Authentication.

  5. Click OK. Click Close on the Internet Accounts.

  6. Your Windows 2000 system is configured for TOAST.net Internet Service!
